The site allows visitors to choose from a wide variety of financial education content and self-paced courses, from estate and retirement planning to mutual funds and tax management, all at their own pace and in the privacy of their own homes.

A 10-person panel of non-paid objective financial and technology experts will offer feedback to visitors and guide the GE Center as it continues to evolve.

"The GE Center provides unbiased, independent financial advice," said John F. Kearns, who serves on the board of directors of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and is one the 10 advisory board members. "They [GE] have nothing to sell other than the ability to make yourself better when it comes to managing your money."

The information on the site is organized in two primary ways: by life event, such as buying a home or retirement planning, and by product categories, such as mutual funds or life insurance.

The site features many personalized financial tools that allow visitors to save their information, monitor their progress, and work on their own terms.

Visitors to www.financiallearning.com also have access to the site's resource center that offers a comprehensive financial dictionary and interactive planning tools.
