Be Kind To Animals Kid Contest

Do you know a kid who is extraordinarily kind to animals? Such compassion for animals should be rewarded. A suitable reward might be entering that child (before April 15) in the Be Kind To Animals Kid Contest sponsored by the American Humane Association.

The contest celebrates acts of compassion and kindness toward animals by young people, six to 13, and the winner will be announced in time for Be Kind To Animals Week® (May 4-10). The grand prize winner and a chaperone will receive a three-day Hollywood vacation and a chance to meet animal actors on the set of a movie or television show. That winner and five finalists will also win a year's supply of Purina® brand pet food, among other exciting prizes.

The 1997 "Be Kind to Animals" programs are sponsored by Ralston Purina, the leading manufacturer of pet food in the US and Canada, and the world's largest producer of dry dog and dry cat foods; by Advantageª, Flea Adulticide, a revolutionary flea control for cats and dogs that kills adult fleas on contact before they have a chance to lay eggs, and Newsweek Magazine (watch for Newsweek's Special Section on Pets in the issue, on newsstands during Be Kind To Animals Week®).
