Services are provided at schools, apartment complexes, community health clinics, job pools, or at any other convenient location. Prevention services: HIV, AIDS, STDs, tuberculosis, family planning, domestic violence, sexuality and teenage pregnancy, HIV counseling and testing. All services are free of charge to qualified individuals. | |
The Assistance Fund 1116 Jackson Blvd. Houston, TX 77006 Call 529-4788 for an application package Assures the continuance of medical care necessary for persons who are HIV positive that financially qualify for services through payments of medical insurance premiums. Once approved, TAF will pay the amount necessary to cover the premium payments for a period of from 1-6 months and thereafter pending requalification. All clients are re-evaluated every 6 months. All applicants are required to provide TAF with verification of existing medical insurance and financial inability to pay the premiums for their coverage. An interview with a registered social worker is also required as part of the application process. New applicants may expect up to thirty (30) days for completion of the application process before approval. Names of all persions and clients of TAF are kept confidential. | |
