A six-week course for couples as pregnancy enters the last trimester.
Breathing and relaxation techniques, physical conditioning exercises, and coaching skills are taught. Information on the labor and birth process,
anesthesia, hospital routines, postpartum adjustment and characteristics of the newborn are discussed. Couples are also taught how to handle emergency situations with the newborn.
